Dr. Liping Shen (申丽萍) I am an Associate Professor of Department of Computer Science and Engineering, Shanghai Jiao Tong University, where I do some research on pervasive learning in e-Learning lab. I started affective computing research when I visited Prof. Victor Callaghan, University of Essex in 2006 where our affective Learning work was reported by New Scientist.  I visited Prof. Jean Bacon of Computer Laboratory, University of Cambridge in 2010. I am also on the board of Chinese e-Learning Technology Standardization Committee since 2004, and the project co-editor of ISO/IEC 12785-1:2009 and other projects of ISO/IEC JTC1 SC36 since 2008. Research:	My research focuses on pervasive and adaptive learning technologies. I am interested in how to adopt the emerging ICT technologies to improve the performance of e-Learning. We are now exploring the emotion evolvement during learning process and how to leverage emotion feedback to provide adaptive e-Learning system. As a board member of Chinese e-Learning Technology Standardization Committee and co-editor of ISO/IEC JTC1 SC36 project 12785, I am also interested in the standardization of exchangable and reusable learning resources. I am currently in charge of the drafting of several Chinese e-Learning Technology Standards, including Content Packaging and Course Sequencing. About me:	I studied for BS in Electronic Engineering at Xi’an Jiao Tong University from 1989~1992 and earned an MS in Electronic Engineering at Shanghai Jiao Tong University(SJTU) in 2000, a PhD in Computer Science at SJTU in 2008. I joined the Computer Science and Engineering Department, SJTU after graduation in 2000, where I am now an associate professor.
