In Mathematical Contest In Modeling/Interdisciplinary Contest In Modeling (MCM/ICM), SJTU students made great performance, winning 1 INFORMS, 3 Outstanding Winner Awards, and 20 Finalist Awards. Teams instructed by Prof. Gao Xiaofeng of the CS Department, in particular, won 1 INFORMS, 3 Outstanding Winner Awards, and 18 Finalist Awards. SJTU now ranks 2nd in the world and 1st within China for the number of Outstanding Winner Awards.
