[Adapt] [seminar] a tutorial on text modeling

Greetings,

I’ll give a tutorial tomorrow (11/20) afternoon 4pm at 3-528 on text modeling covering following stuff

Background knowledge on probability such as Beta/Dirichlet distribution, conjugate prior, Markov Chain Monte Carlo, Gibbs sampling, etc.
How to model texts explicitly and implicitly, using unigram model, LSA, PLSA or LDA.
Current and potential applications
(if time permits) word2vec
