[Adapt] [Seminar]Controlled Counterfactual Text Generation

Hi Adapters,

Today, I’ll give a talk about the paper ''Generate Your Counterfactuals: Towards Controlled Counterfactual Generation for Text ".

Counterfactuals can be use for testing the ability of AI models and data augmentation. In this paper, the author proposes a  framework to generate counterfactuals. This work is based on another work "Plug and Play Language Models: A Simple Approach to Controlled Text Generation"(PPLM). Because pplm can only be used for text generation, the author uses a special reconstruction loss to make it works on inference task.  The experiments show this model can generate good counterfactuals.
