Jiadi Yu  

Biography

Dr. Yu is currently an Associate Professor in Department of Computer Science and Engineering, Shanghai Jiao Tong University, Shanghai, China. Prior to join Shanghai Jiao Tong University,  he was at Stevens Institute of Technology, USA as a Postdoc. Dr. Yu received the PhD degree in computer science from Shanghai Jiao Tong University, China, in 2007. Dr. Yu has published more than 100 refereed papers in international leading journals and key conferences in the areas of wireless communications and networking, mobile computing, and security & privacy. He is the inventor of more than 20 granted and 10 pending patents. Dr. Yu received the Second Class Award in Scientific and Technological Progress by Shanghai in 2017, 2018，respectively. His current research interests include mobile computing and sensing, cyber security and privacy, internet of Things (IoT), smart healthcare.

My research style is interdisciplinary in general. Particularly, I am leveraging machine learning and data analytics related techniques to tackle the healthcare, sensing, security, system, network related problems. My work has a strong and balanced emphasis on algorithm development, system implementation and validation with real-world scenarios.
