Hi, Guy,

I am *Jack Sun* and I will take over this week's seminar and introduce some
state-of-the-art ideas about *query suggestion*. The content mainly depends
on my recent survey about this field. During this seminar, two papers will
be included. They are both published SIGIR in the most recent three years.

One is from Google, titled *Generalized syntactic and semantic models of
query reformulation*. The other is from Microsoft Research Asia,
titled *Adaptive
 Query Suggestion for Difficult Queries*.

I will try to simplify the content of these papers and extract all the key
ideas of them. Hope you all enjoy it.

Cheers,

Jack Sun
