Dear Adapters,

As a key representation model of knowledge, ontology has been widely used in a lot of NLP related tasks, such as semantic parsing, information extraction and text mining etc. However, extending the state-of-the-art natural language applications to use these resources is not a trivial task mainly due to the heterogeneity and the ambiguity of the schemes adopted by the different resources of the Semantic Web.

An effective solution to the ontology heterogeneity problem is Ontology Matching, whose main task is to establish semantic correspondences between entities (i.e., classes, properties or instances) from different ontologies. So this time I will give you a talk about ontology matching, hope you can learn something and enjoy it.

The seminar will take place at 4:30 pm at SEIEE 3-528 today. See you then!

Best,
Xusheng Luo
