Hi Adapters,
For the tomorrow's seminar, I will talk about a paper which introduces the way to extract the drug-drug interaction(DDI) from biomedical reports. DDI is a situation when one drug increases or decreases the effect of another drug.
This is in fact a relation extraction task of NLP. In recent years, attention mechanism and various neural networks are applied to relation extraction which has been proven useful. In this paper, a bidirectional RNN with multiple attention layer model is presented, of which the performance is better than previous work.
Hope to see you there :)
Best,
Mengxue
