The SpeechLab is part of the SJTU Computer Science and Technology Department and is also the main component of the Intelligent Speech and Language Processing Center of the AI Insitute of Shanghai Jiao Tong University. Its mission is to advance the research of intelligent speech and natural language processing for human machine interaction and develop effective algorithms for implementing real-world applications. The work of the group spans a broad range of related topics: from speech to natural language processing, including speech and speaker recognition, synthesis, audio analysis, language understanding, dialogue and QA systems and knowledge engineering. We focus on using data-driven statistical approaches to achieve natural human-machine speech and language interface. Compared to other machine learning research areas, interaction-oriented speech and natural language processing technology is unique in the sense that it has a high requirement of using appropriate computer engineering methods to implement research algorithms and make real-world systems working. Therefore, another important goal of our group is to advance the computer engineering algorithms and methods for highly efficient system implementation. We believe, an outstanding scientist is not necessarily an excellent engineer, while an outstanding engineer must be an excellent scientist!

上海交通大学智能语音实验室隶属于上海交大计算机系，也是上海交通大学人工智能研究院智能语音及自然语言处理中心的主要组成部分。依托上海交通大学计算机科学技术国家重点一级学科的优势，探索人类大脑对语音感知和语言认知的机理和过程，研究机器进行语音感知及语言认知的理论、方法和系统实现，设计开发可以满足真实世界自然人机交互需求的基语音和自然语言交互系统。实验室研究团队包括中组部“青年千人”计划获得者、国家自然科学基金委优秀青年科学基金获得者1名，副教授1名，助理教授1名，在智能语音及自然语言处理的若干核心领域开展广泛的研究，是为数不多的具备全链路语音及语言闭环交互研究布局的研究组，研究领域包括语音信号处理及识别、语音合成、自然语言理解、问答及对话系统、阅读理解及知识工程等。团队可以使用千块GPU级别的大规模超算中心计算资源和海量数据资源，并访问大规模真实世界数据资源，开展大尺度人工智能算法研究。研究团队成员在智能语音及自然语言处理领域国际一流期刊和会议上发表论文170余篇，获得多次国际会议优秀论文奖，以及国际评测的冠军。团队技术在产业界也得到了大规模应用，获得中国人工智能学会颁发的吴文俊人工智能科技进步奖。研究组与众多国际一流研究团队交流频繁，国际会议及交流的机会多。研究组立志于用科学的方法解决真实世界最富有挑战的语音和自然语言处理问题，用人工智能技术改变世界，目标是成为国际知名的智能语音及自然语言处理创新技术和创新系统的发源地。我们相信，一个优秀的科学家不一定是一个优秀的工程师，而一个优秀的工程师一定是一个优秀的科学家！

Desired Skills and Experience about you

l  Successfully completed a PhD degree in computer science or its relevant areas.
