Associate Prof. Leng Jingwen Won the 2020 DAMO Academy Young Fellow Award

Alibaba just announced the winners of 2020 DAMO Academy Young Fellow Award. Ten young scholars under the age of 35 from around the country won the honor. Associate Prof. Leng Jingwen of the CS Department of SJTU was one of the winners. 



Leng Jingwen is a tenure-track Associate Professor in the Computer Science and Engineering Department at Shanghai Jiao Tong University. He received the Ph.D. degree from the University of Texas at Austin. His research focused on improving the efficiency and resiliency of general-purpose GPUs.



The Alibaba Damo Academy Young Fellow is an unofficial, non-profit public service award established by the Alibaba Group in 2018. It aims to identify and support outstanding young scholars from the Greater China region (including mainland China, Hong Kong, Macao, and Taiwan) who are engaged in full-time scientific research in academic and research institutions and have the potential to achieve outstanding results in the future and become the backbone of scientific research in China. This year it received 317 applications.


Zhang Weina and Chen Quan from the CS Department of SJTU won the DAMO Academy Young Fellow Award in 2018 and 2019 respectively.
