Prof. Sun Yongqiang Awarded China Computer Federation Lifetime Achievement Award

China Computer Federation (CCF) held an award ceremony on January 31st, 2021, and Professor Sun Yongqiang, as the first generation of computer software researchers, was awarded the "CCF Lifetime Achievement Award" for his outstanding contributions to computer language and compilation.



Sun Yongqiang, a computer scientist and educator, has been engaged in computer science research for more than 50 years. His research fields involve software technologies such as compiler principle, functional program algebra theory, software automatic verification, rewriting technology, etc. He has published more than 100 papers in highly influential journals and conferences at home or abroad, cultivated more than 30 PhD candidates in computer software and theory, and obtained multiple awards including National Natural Science Award, and State Scientific and Technological Advancement Award granted by the State Education Commission.


The "CCF Lifetime Achievement Award" was established in 2010 and is intended to award outstanding Chinese researchers who have made significant breakthroughs and great contributions to computer science, technology and engineering.
