EU (European Union) EM LCT/Dual Master’s Degrees Program

Number of Exchange Students: 10 excellent students from EU and non-EU universities

Length of Study: Half year to one year

Mode of Study: Students take courses or write thesis in SJTU. To obtain SJTU’s Master’s degree, they must meet the graduation requirements of SJTU.

University of Technology of Berlin(TUB)/ Dual Master’s Degrees Program

Number of Exchange Students: 10 excellent students

Mode of Study: three years’ undergraduate program in SJTU + two years’ graduate program in TUB + 1.5 years’ graduate program in SJTU

Other Information: The students who get admission to the exchange program will go study in TUB for two years in the beginning of the senior year. After meeting the graduation requirements in TUB, the students should go back to SJTU to study further in the same field. After graduation, they will be awarded both the bachelor’s and master’s degree in SJTU, and the masters’ degree in TUB.

Waseda University/ Dual Master’s Degrees Program

Number of Exchange Students: 15 excellent students

Mode of Study: three years’ undergraduate program in SJTU + two years’ graduate program in Waseda University + 1.5 years’ graduate program in SJTU

Other Information: The students who get admission to the exchange program will go study in Waseda University for two years in the beginning of the senior year. After meeting the graduation requirements in Waseda University, the students should go back to SJTU to study further in the same field. After graduation, they will be awarded both the bachelor’s and master’s degree in SJTU, and the masters’ degree in Waseda University.

Institut National des Sciences Appliquées (INSA) Lyon

Four cooperation programs:

1) Semester Program

Length of Study: one semester

Mode of Study: Students will go study in INSA for one semester in their senior year and come back to SJTU in the next semester to finish the graduation design.

2) Cooperation Courses (Communication and Network Technology Spring Special Courses)

Mode of Study: The Communication and Network Technology Spring Special Courses include four specialized courses and two humanity and management courses, all of which are taught in English by teachers from both SJTU and INSA. Students from the two schools are required to work together to complete two cross-cultural projects.

3) Summer School

Description: Engineering and Innovation; French and French Culture; Industry and lab tours; Sightseeing in European countries

4) Dual-Master’s Degree Program

Length of Study: 2 years

Mode of Study: 2 years (undergraduate in SJTU) +2 years (INSA) + Master’s degree program in SJTU

Other Information: Students enrolled in this program would go study in INSA in September in their junior year and then come back to SJTU after two years to undertake the Master’s degree program. Upon graduation, students will be awarded the Master’s degree of SJTU and the internationally recognized Dipl?me d’Ingénieur (marked with “equivalent of Master degree” and officially recognized by the US as equivalent to a US master of Science).
